Halfway point
Thank you for participating in the MTA AT&T App Quest! We're roughly halfway through the submission period. Apps are due August 20, 2013.
Organized by New York State’s Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) and AT&T, this challenge is designed to recognize the most innovative mobile applications that look to the future and improve the transit experience of MTA's 8.5 million daily riders. Your avant-garde idea could very well become the transit app of tomorrow.
We look forward to awarding $40,000 in prizes to the most creative, impactful, and well executed apps in this virtual phase of the global challenge. (So far, we've awarded $10,000 in prizes to three hacks in the hackathon portion of the competition.)
If you haven't started yet, there are still two months left to get your submission together. Start by exploring great APIs, datasets, and the MTA Wish List; and going through the eligibility and submission requirements.
You're part of a vibrant community of software innovators and transit professionals working to make our city better, and we can't wait to see what you can do to help improve New Yorkers' commutes.
